Undertheorized in the literature

Undertheorized is an experimental social science fanzine started by anthropology PhD students at the University of Chicago. We seek to cultivate an interdisciplinary community of researchers who want to explore modes of scholarly communication beyond the academic-prose publication or art installation.

✴︎ Our first issue is finally here!

We collected 20 submissions for our first 50-page zine and riso printed them in red and teal. The zine was designed and edited by its contributors. 50 copies were printed and distributed to the contributors (2 each), with the remaining 10 to be donated to our local zine libraries. Pdfs of both the full-color and duotone scan can be found here!

The open call for the second issue will be published in the spring of 2024.
